At Kite Wing Boards, we want you to be as stoked about your gear as we are. But if something isn’t quite right, we’ve got your back with our straightforward returns and exchanges process. Read on to learn how we make it easy to get exactly what you need for your next session.

Our Return Promise

We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most items in new, unused condition with original packaging. Like choosing the right kite size for the conditions, we’ve designed this policy to be simple and rider-friendly.

Important Exceptions:

The following items cannot be returned for hygiene/safety reasons:

  • Harnesses and Harness Accessories (due to direct body contact)
  • Build A Bar Workshop custom products (made specifically for you)
  • Opened Compression Bags (considered personal use items once opened)

How to Return or Exchange

Step 1: Initiate Your Return

Email our rider-support team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Include:

  • Your order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return/exchange
  • Reason for return
  • Whether you want a refund or exchange

Step 2: Receive Your Return Authorization

Within 1-2 business days, we’ll email you:

  • Return authorization number
  • Shipping instructions
  • Return address (3 Southerberry Dr, US 05468)

Step 3: Ship Your Return

Package your item securely with all original packaging and tags attached. Include the return authorization number inside the package. We recommend:

  • Using a trackable shipping method
  • Insuring the package for its full value
  • Retaining your shipping receipt until the process is complete

Step 4: Processing Your Return

Once received at our facility, we’ll inspect the item within 3-5 business days and notify you via email about the status of your refund or exchange.

Refund Information

Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days after we receive and inspect your return. Note:

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error
  • For exchanges, we’ll ship the new item once we receive your return (additional shipping charges may apply)

Damaged or Defective Items

If your gear arrives damaged or defective (rare, but it happens – even the best kites can have bad days):

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected]
  2. Include photos of the damage/defect
  3. We’ll arrange a free return label and expedite your replacement

International Returns

For our global riders (excluding certain Asian and remote regions):

  • You’re responsible for return shipping costs and any customs fees
  • We recommend using DHL or FedEx for traceability
  • Refunds will be issued in USD
